We are seeking an experienced Retail Assistant/ Customer Service Sales Employee

We want someone who will do all the duties presented to them.

Be a self starter, who can easily follow instructions or find something to do if instructions are lacking.
We pay the legal minimum wage, according to WA law, plus super, suited to your age group - not $44+ per hr + super + taxes - these are unrealistic expectations of this industry, so if that sounds like you - PLEASE DON'T APPLY HERE! We quoted that as someone once demanded it at interview.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We currently have an exciting role at our Northbridge store for a bright and bubbly (or terribly dark and gloomy horrorific and friendly), customer orientated Casual Retail Assistant (sales & customer service). As a BeWitchy team member, you will have a passion for our product. Your kindness will enable you to create unique connections with all our clients and customers to maximize sales and encourage them to return. Like any store employee should aim and desire to do, we want you present and pleasing.

 

You will also be working with a small supportive team that are all striving to deliver that experience with our customers, maximise sales and support the management team with stock organisation and visual merchandising. Noted the store is not reached it's final renovation so things might be a little askew and we require your work arounds with this issue for now.

 

You do not need spiritual or witchy knowledge for the stores general sales however, some knowledge of basic crystals, and smudging at least is ideal. Ultimately you can call on our in house Psychic Medium if the details of something go beyond your scope (when and if she is available).

You will need to not scare easily as the store is actually haunted ie possessed dolls and it's common to hear voices, things clickety clanging, tingling on your skin and all sorts of dark and gloomy things but it's all in good taste and monitored by our in house infamous Psychic Medium.

  • Assist with stock management and visual merchandising.

  • Follow loss prevention processes to minimize stock loss.

  • You may also be required to work outside the store advertising, sales, wholesaling and handling some marketing, stocktaking etc.

  • Attend store meetings and in store and out of store training.

     

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate confidence to approach, connect and sell to our customers.

  • A go getter attitude and energy, who is always on the go making sales matter and count.

  • The ability and desire to greet and help all customers.

  • Take and create bookings and sales.

  • Have the ability to follow scripts and handle unconventional happenings or customers pushing to get unavailable appointments for example. You must be able to deal with situations on the spot and understand work arounds to secure bookings with clients who could not attain a walk-in service (that we don't offer btw).

  • Respond to emails and text message enquires.

  • Respect and understand the value of clients and customers, some spanning over 30+ yrs or more.

  • You may also be responsible for some orders or deliveries.

  • Value integrity and doing things the right way.

  • Enjoy working with a team in a high energy, fast paced & sometimes emotionally charged environment.

  • Be ‘solutions focused’ when faced with problem.

  • Awareness of loss prevention, health & safety, visual merchandising, as well as experience in a team environment or fashion retail is favourable but not essential.

  • The ability to deal with all walks of life and treat every customer with patience and understanding.

  • High energy ability to work within your shifts needs. A go getter!

  • A desire to truly invest and commit yourself to the BeWitchy brand and business.
